Judith Dianne Smith

Judith Dianne Smith, 73, passed away on March 4, 2016 in the comfort of her home.  Judith was retired from the Calcasieu Parish School Board.  She taught for 19 years at Maplewood Elementary School.  Dianne loved Tennessee walking horses.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  Dianne was a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi where she met her future husband.

Dianne is survived by her husband of 51 years, H.D. Smith; one son, Wood Smith and wife Tara; one daughter, Elise Moore and fiancé Todd Phillips; her grandchildren, Tanner Moore, Lauren Moore, Gabrielle “Gabby” Moore, Thomas Smith, Blaine McGraw and Anthony Holloway; one brother, Hubie Parker and wife Patsy; one sister, Vickie Paredes and husband Louis; one brother in law R.C. Hancock; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Judith Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. H.H. Parker and wife Carolyn; one sister, Lulu Hancock; and one brother, Bill Parker.

Services for Dianne will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 1 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur.   The family will receive friends on Monday, March 7, 2016 from 5-9 PM and will resume on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of service.
