Judith “Judy” P. Thibodeaux, 77, went to be with the Lord on Thursday November 19, 2015.
Judy was born on June 2, 1938 in Washington DC, to Dwayne E. Runnels and Mary Stevens Runnels.
After graduating high school, she attended the first Nursing School in Illinois. Judy worked at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and St. Patrick’s Hospital in Labor and Delivery and Pediatrics. She also worked at Medical Arts and The Clinic and retired in 1993. Judy attended the First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff where she severed as a teacher in her Sunday School Class.
She was a Past Matron of Moss Bluff Chapter 242 Order of the Eastern Star, a Pink Lady at St. Patrick’s, worked for the Children’s Miracle Network, Council on Aging and Queen of Jobs Daughter. She loved cooking, sewing, reading, and making memories while traveling.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memories are her loving husband for 35 years, Walter Thibodeaux; son and daughter-in-law, William “Mike” and Karen Davis; 2 daughters, Bridget Marie Davis and Paula Parks; sister, Tochia Levine; brother, Stephen Wayne Runnels; 6 grandchildren, William “Mickey” Davis and wife Brandi, Amy Davis, Jermey Rhoades and wife Mandy; Elizabeth Pudwell, Joshua Pudwell and Caleb Pudwell; 3 great grandchildren, Gabrielle Marie Carroll, SueLynn Rose Davis and Clair Rhoades; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Dwayne E. Runnels and Mary Stevens Runnels, sister Rosemary Anthony and brother, Robert Wayne Runnels.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3PM on Sunday November 22, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff with Dr. James Rivers officiating. Interment to follow in New Richie Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be on Sunday 1PM-3PM at the church.
Active pallbearers will be Masons from the Moss Bluff Masonic Lodge 462.
