Judy Ann Ellender

Judy Ann Ellender passed December 9, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Judy was born December 20, 1955, to Teresa and Jake Ellender of Sulphur, LA. Judy was a loving, colorful and resilient person.  She was an avid traveler and a free spirit. She loved her fiancé, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews. She was a hard worker and worked full time while pursuing her nursing degree so she could make a better life for herself and her children. She was the peacemaker of the family and tried to keep everyone happy.  She loved her trips to Italy and was planning on returning.  Judy loved animals and her little puppy Gia will truly miss her.  She cared for many homeless cats throughout her life. Judy excelled as Director of Nursing at Holly Hill in Sulphur, LA.  She also worked at the Handicapped Center in Vinton, LA.  Judy put her whole heart into making sure her patients always received the care they deserved.

Judy is survived by her Fiancé’, Dave Freedman; sons, Roman Perry and Jeremy Perry wife Margaret; grandchildren, Dylan Perry wife Jalynn, Dakotah Perry, Kaleigh Irene Perry, Tyler Jake Perry, Damien Turner, Abrielle Mouton, Aryel Mouton, Robert Mouton, Jr., and London Miller; siblings, Benny Ellender wife Debbie, Sandra Fulk, Mary McClintock husband Michael, Bradley Ellender wife Missy, and Patrick Ellender wife Ros. Many nieces and nephews loved her bigger than life personality. Judy was loved and will be truly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Rebekah Miller; Parents, Teresa and Jake Ellender; and brother, Johnny Ellender.

 Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Our Lady of Lasalette Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home on Friday, December 15, 2023. Visitation will resume on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM for processional to the church. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines South under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
