Judy Annette Knippers

Judy Annette Knippers, 65 of Sulphur passed away on May 7, 2013 in her residence. Judy was a retired school bus driver from the Calcasieu Parish School Board. She was also a co-owner of Knippers Wrecker Service who was the backbone of the business. Judy enjoyed many different things including people, fishing, pokeno, dancing and playing the slots. She also loved the beach with clear water and white sand. Judy loved to bake pies for everyone during the holidays and made the best butter-milk biscuits. Judy never met a stranger and if you ever met her, you would never forget her. Judy is survived by her husband, George Knippers of Sulphur; two sons, Kelly Knippers and wife, Nichole of Lake Charles and Carson Heath Knippers of Sulphur; four sisters, Sue Conn and husband, Johnny of Lake Charles, Phyllis Yellot and husband, Michael Fritz , Penny Trahan and husband, J.D. of Hayes and Jackie Mier of Lake Charles; 4 grandchildren, Kypp Knippers, Tanner Knippers, Raylen Knippers and Kailen Ditmars. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Blanche Kundes. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 5-9p.m. at Robison Funeral Home and will resume on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the funeral home at 2 p.m. until time of service at 5p.m. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to The American Cancer Society.
