Judy Gail Dunmire

Judy Gail Ash Dunmire, 72, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 9:30 PM on Friday, November 13, 2015 in a local hospital. Mrs. Dunmire was born February 9, 1943 in Lake Charles, LA, and lived twenty-five years in Liberty / Dayton, TX before moving back to Lake Charles last year. She worked a number of years at the Lake Charles American Press. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking and playing card games and dominoes. She also had a love for singing, but her true passion in life was for her family. Mrs. Dunmire is survived by her daughters, Vickie Bergeron and husband Billy of LeBleu Settlement and Christina Hare and husband Jonathan of Moss Bluff; sister, Linda LaFleur of Lake Charles; father of her children, J.D. "Brother-in-law" Duplechain of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Dunmire; son, "Buddy" Duplechain; infant daughter, Tammy; and her parents, Nita Ogea and George Ash. Her memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Steve Shirley will officiate. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
