Julianne Covington Guidry

Julianne Covington Guidry, 23, of Lake Charles, earned her wings on Sunday, July 8, 2012 from a local hospital.

Julianne was a 2006 graduate of Barbe High School and was an Accounting Major at Sowela Technical College. She enjoyed extreme couponing and shopping and spending time with the girls.

Julianne leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved dog "Ruby", who was always by her side during her battle with Ovarian Cancer; her parents, Eric and Michelle Covington Guidry; sister, Kaitlyn Guidry; brother, Matthew Guidry, all of Lake Charles; grandparents, Julian "Butch" and Patricia Covington of Lake Charles and Larry and Kay Guidry of Basile; great-grandmother, Marion Conner of Lake Charles; two uncles, Scott Covington of Many and Chris Covington and wife Miguel of Sulphur; aunt, Debbie Guidry of Eunice; best friends, Amber Thibodeaux, Leeann Manuel, Kayla Doty and Laura Babin Smith "who wasn't just a friend, but also Julianne's Oncology Nurse, who was by her side through her battle until her last breath" and her boyfriend of seven years, Derek Granger.

She also leaves her extended family of Employees of Louisiana Pigment Co., "who have taken Julianne and her family under their wings and supported them throughout her illness".

Julianne will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

In respect of Julianne's wishes, she will be cremated with a Memorial Service at a later date.
