Julie Guillory Reeves

Julie Guillory Reeves, 65, passed away at a local hospital on June 15, 2017.

Ms. Reeves was born in Lake Charles, LA and a 1969 graduate of St. Charles Academy. After high school she worked for Hercules Chemicals, managed Reef Restaurant in Big Lake and worked construction for Turner Industries. Ms. Julie loved to fish; she spent many good times fishing and camping with her friends. She recently had rejoined her Catholic faith and completed her ACTS retreat.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Ryan Reeves and wife Rachel; brother, Kenneth Guillory and wife Norma; grandchild Liam; sister-in-law, Tappa Guillory; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Cecile Guillory; brother, Larry Guillory; and daughter, Jennifer Reeves.

A funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral home at 11AM on Monday June 19, 2017. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. The Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot will officiate. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 4PM to 8PM on Sunday June 18. During visitation on Sunday at 6PM a rosary followed by the Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be held. Visitation will continue at 9AM Monday morning until the start of the service.
