Julie Hagan Williams

June 18, 1969 — September 4, 2021

Julie Marie Hagan Williams, 52, of Lake Arthur, LA passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 in the comfort of her home.

Mrs. Williams was born in Peoria, IL, was raised in Lake Charles and has lived most of her adult life in Thornwell.  She was a graduate of Barbe High School.  She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and loved deer hunting of which she ALWAYS got her shot.  She had a real soft spot for animals and found joy in country living and having her own little farm to raise anything from chickens to peacocks, dogs, cats, goats and sheep.  She also had a way about taking in rescue animals and nursing them back to health.  Mrs. Williams was true warrior who will be most remembered for her fearless spirit and unique personality.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of thirty-three years, Bryan Patrick Williams of Thornwell; two sons, David Patrick Williams (Crystal) and Dustin Patrick Williams (Sabrina), both of Thornwell; four grandchildren, Emma, Nick, Natalie and Elaina Williams; mother, Janet Bitting Hagan of Lake Charles; one sister, Jenny Marie Fletcher (Troy) of Lake Charles; one brother, Toby Walter Hagan (Joanna) of Lake Charles; mother-in-law, Bobbie Nell Williams of Thornwell and sister-in-law, Donna Claire Williams of Westchester, IL.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Walter Hagan and father-in-law, Patrick Williams.

The family of   Mrs. Williams wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Cynthia Barre and Heart of Hospice for their excellence in kindness and compassion in caring for Julie.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 08, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at University Baptist Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  In respect of Julie’s wishes, A Celebration of Life gathering will be private.
