Julius Jay DeRouen, 88, of Lake Charles, Louisiana died at 1:24 PM Friday, December 13, 2013 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. Julius was born August 16, 1925 in Bell City, Louisiana to Nora and Olivia DeRouen. He worked as a processor for Borden's Dairy for 38 years. Mr. DeRouen worked for Guth's Dairy before retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church. During his life he enjoyed shrimping and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife, Josephine Conner DeRouen; two sons, Phillip DeRouen of Lake Charles and Byron Jay DeRouen and wife Vickie of Lake Charles; three daughters, Lurlene Lavergne and husband Floyd of Lake Charles, Sharon Fuselier of Lake Charles, and Karen Langley of Lake Charles; eleven grand children; twenty six great grand children; and four great great grand children. He is preceded in death by his parents. Pall Bearers are Byron DeRouen, Cody DeRouen, Casey DeRouen, Kent Langley, Jason Fuselier, and Dustin Armentor. Honorary Pall Bearers are Dylan Holland, Clay Armentor, Kory Langley, and Marshall Langley. Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 16, 2013 in the Chapel at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday December 15, 2013 at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Monday morning at 8:00 AM until time of services. Burial will be at Consolata cemetery. Father Jeff Starkovich will officiate.
