Julius Antoine Ogea, 99, of Choupique passed away peacefully Sunday, April 4, 2021, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born November 27, 1921 in Welsh, La. Julius worked for Livingston Shipyard prior to being drafted into the United States Army. In his interview, which was televised by the local news station, he shared some of his experiences from World War II.

Julius was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing his crops with others. He furnished many green onions to area restaurants over the years. Julius loved spending time with family and always enjoyed a good crawfish boil or Birthday party in his honor. He will always be remembered for his big smile; belly laughs and the love he had for all the babies that came into his life.
