June Fontenot

June Fontenot, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 25, 2018 in a local hospital.  June loved to read, spend time with her family and watch Wheel of Fortune.  She was a member of TOPS for many years and an officer of Woodmen of the World.  June loved people and was very friendly.  She traveled many places including Europe and took many cruises. 

June is survived by her husband of 62 years Odis; her children, Carol Fontenot Thompson and husband Mike of Groesbeck, TX, Joseph Craig Fontenot and wife Dianne of Edgerly, Lisa Fontenot Domingue and husband Derrek of Carlyss and Bryan Fontenot of Carlyss; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Porter Buckelew and Jewel Buckelew; sisters, Virginia Lee and Louise Ross; her twin sister, Jessie Buckelew; and her brother, Bob Buckelew.

Services for June will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 2 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Reverend Larry LaFleur officiating.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 5-8 PM and on Tuesday from 9 AM until the time of service.
