Junell Kinsey Cunningham

March 9, 1933 — October 20, 2010

Junell Kinsey Cunningham, 77, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at St. Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas.


She was a native and lifelong resident of the Lake Charles area until moving to Fort Smith in 2003, where she was faithfully cared for by her daughter Linda, and husband Rocky Morehead. Mrs. Cunningham was a graduate of Lake Charles High School and a lifelong member of the United Pentecostal Church.


Survivors include her sons, Reverend Brian Vernon Kinsey and wife Lanette of Pensacola, FL, and Steven Ray Kinsey of Bossier City, LA; daughters, Linda Morehead and husband Rev. Rocky Morehead of Fort Smith, AR and Janet Hodges of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Catherine Cranford of Lake Charles, and Florine and husband, Melvin Finch of Houston, TX; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents, Cicero and Eva Cranford; husbands, Rollace Vernon Kinsey (1975) and Joseph Cunningham (2005); brothers, Gene and W.L. Cranford; and grandchildren, Misty and Justin Morehead.


Her funeral will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, October 23, 2010 at The First Pentecostal Church of Westlake. Pastor Randy Stanton and Reverend Brian Kinsey will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 PM until time of services, Saturday.
