Justin “Blake” Benoit, 27, of Lake Charles died at 4:13 AM on Friday, September 23, 2016 in a local hospital.
Blake was born on January 20, 1989 in Lake Charles where he lived all of his life. He worked for ACR Heating and Cooling as an HVAC technician. Blake was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed woodworking.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Brittany Hollingsworth Benoit; three children, Aleigha, Kenleigh, and Raeleigh Benoit; his mother, Carole Benoit and his father, John Wayne Benoit; five siblings, William Benoit (Erin), Darrell Benoit (Elese), Brandy Guidry (Chris), Jason Benoit (Donna), and Christina Mann (Dallas); and nieces and nephews, Devoni, Caitlin, Emily, and David Benoit, Chasity, Dylan, and Steven Guidry, Jason Benoit, Jr., Austin, Devin, and Dakota Mann, and Conner Miller. He also leaves behind his “second” mom, Donna Gire and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Hazel Benoit and Richard Istre and Gloria Cannon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 26, 2016 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Very Rev. Anthony M. Fontenot will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for outstanding expenses.
