Justin'E' Joseph Caillouet

June 16, 1981 — April 1, 2022

Justin’e’ Joseph Caillouet originated from what is considered the heart of Louisiana, New Orleans- where the color black and gold are as celebrated as Mardi Gras. He was born June 16, 1981 to Robert A. Caillouet and the late Wendy Marie Reed.

There are many things that could be said of Justin; he was multifaceted, brilliant, and possessed a heart of gold.

He excelled academically, following his middle school years in Sulphur, he attended The Phelps School in Philadelphia where he played Lacross, earning a full college scholarship. He longed to return home, so he enrolled in Delgato Community College and earned his CNA certification.  Although he loved his job as a CNA caring for patients in a nursing home, he continued his education. Upon obtaining his EMT license, he worked for Plaquemine Ambulance, Acadian, and other positions within the medical field, eventually earning his Paramedic License. He could not stop there though, he needed another challenge, so he again enrolled in school, where he studied Engineering and graduated with a Master’s Degree. He was an entrepreneur, never turning down a chance to excel at anything he could, including inheriting his grandfather’s business.

Of his many accomplishments, his children were his greatest; there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. No matter the occasion, event, success, or failure-they never doubted the pride and support he had for them. His life was always full speed, but for his children, he would stop the world. He would never pass up a time to sit and enjoy a good barbeque, teach them his “scientifically engineered and PERFECTED” crawfish seasoning recipe, or to enjoy countless trips for sushi.

If you knew Justin, you knew he never stopped till he got what he wanted. It was 2009 during a trip in to see his children, he stopped by to visit his friend Melissa where he met Heather for the first time. He prided himself on the story of his “constant” visits to Melissa’s house that he convinced her to go out on a date with him. So, on January 7, 2012, after many months of convincing, but only a few months of dating he married the love of his life. She brought out the best in him as a family man, their house always filled with love and laughter, even during some of the worst days as she battled breast cancer.

He will be remembered firstly as a son, brother, father, husband, and to his many friends “their ride or die” who was constantly losing his wallet or keys!

On April 1, 2022 he was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by the love of his life, Heather Marie Caillouet; a grandchild born into the arms of Jesus; mother, Wendy Marie Reed; grandfather, Alvin Caillouet; aunt, Dale Reed; Step-mother, Lisa R. Caillouet, and close friend, Brandon Brady.

Those left to cherish his memory; his beloved children, Madison Caillouet and fiancé Logun, Mason and Kaden Caillouet; sisters Carilee (Austin) Wigg and Lindsey (Brad) Caillouet; nephews, Brett and Cage Hoffpauir; father, Robert (Patty) Caillouet; grandmother, Lynn Caillouet; God-child, Chloe Menard; close friends, Jared (Diana) Vidrine, Scott Vidrine, Justin Guglielmo, Danny (Tanna) Harrison, Derek Menard, Melissa (Trent) Pickering & daughter Jacie Simien, Chad (Meghan) Morse, and Matt Fuller; the mother to his children, Marietta (Josh) Laughlin; step father- Robert Reed; many extended family and friends.
