Jw Smith

JW Smith, 71, passed away at his home on Friday, May 20, 2016.  JW graduated from Sulphur High School in 1962, attended LSU and was retired from Firestone.  He was president of the United Game Fowl Breeders Association.  JW was a veteran of the United States Army.  JW’s favorite pass time was taking care of his goat farm and dancing.

JW is survived by his two children, Jay Paul Smith and wife Kerri and Tracy Moore and fiancé Philip Jardell; his fiancé, Marian Palumbo; the mother of his children, Beverly Smith; his grandchildren, Megan Moore and Kane and Mackenzie Smith; and two sisters, Joe Ann LaBove and companion Jim Norment, and Janet Monta and husband Eric.  JW was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Agnes Smith.

Services for JW will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11 am at Our Lady of LaSalette Church with Father Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. officiating.  Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 22, 2016 from 5-9 pm at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 pm.  Visitation will resume on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 8 am to 10:30 am.
