Karalan Shey Hayes

May 2, 1997 — September 21, 2022

Karalan Shey Hayes was born May 2, 1997 in Lake Charles, LA to Darrell W. Hayes and Tamantha M. Guillory.

Karalan Shey or better known as “Runt” had a zest for life unlike no other, living life to the fullest. Her children Elsa and Jasper brought an abundance of joy into her life, she enjoyed nothing more than doing anything to put a smile on their faces. She worked hard to provide for her children, most recently she was employed with Waffle House as a shift manager. When she was not at work, you’d find her dedicating time to her children, many hours were spent with them at the park, doing arts and crafts, or painting.

As she was devoted to her children, she also was to her family. Sunday’s she could be found watching football with her father, rooting for her beloved Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints. Another pastime was playing video games with her brother, especially Call of Duty.

She may have been born in 1997, but her heart was in the 80’s! She knew every word and every dance move to Footloose and 80’s music was the genre that held her heart. When she would stop long enough, she would enjoy watching The Originals, and was fond of traveling to New Orleans where it was filmed. She also enjoyed the sitcom “Friends” and “The Lost Boys”.

She best will be remembered for her devotion and love of family and friends, her fierce and feisty demeanor, but especially for her kind and loving personality.

She entered the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 and was welcomed by two brothers, Tristan Alex Hayes and Nova Harper Hayes; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Guillory.

Those left to cherish her memory; her children, whom she loved tremendously, Elsa & Jasper; father Darrell W. Hayes; mother, Tamantha M.
