Karen Simmons

Karen Simmons, 71, passed peacefully from this life to her heavenly reward on September 17, 2021. She enjoyed yardwork, camping, decorating for holidays, shopping, crafts, and most importantly spending lots of time with loved ones and friends. Karen was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Wilson Simmons (Debra); daughter, Sheryl Simmons (Matthew); grandchildren, Brady, Braxton, Jared, Micah, Timothy, Krystal, and Shelby; great-grandchildren, Rayne, Emberlynne, Kaiser, Tobi, and Scarlette.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Simmons; Grandson, Christopher; Parents Vic and Juanita Burnett, and her brother-in-law, Nolan Breaux.

Funeral services for Karen will be held at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur Friday, September 24, 2021. Burial will follow in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Mittie, La. Rev. Roland Hebert will officiate. Visitation will be 4-8 pm. on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Johnson and Robison Funeral home and will resume Friday morning at 8 am until time of service at 10 am.
