Karen Sue Kleckley

Karen Sue Kleckley, 69, of Lake Charles peacefully went to be with her Lord in Heaven on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 in a local healthcare facility.

Ms. Kleckley was born December 31, 1953 in Crockett, TX and has lived most of her life in Lake Charles.  She will be most remembered for her sweet spirit.  She attended Fourth Avenue Church of God and Trinity Baptist Church and had a great love for God.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one brother, Charles “Chuck” Kleckley and wife Laurie; and one sister, Janet Klein and husband Kenny. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and extended family.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilse Edward Kleckley and Patricia Kleckley Klein; and a son, Jesse Kleckley.

A graveside service to celebrate Karen’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Consolata Cemetery, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, `memorial donations may be made to CARC, 4100 Senator J. Bennett Johnston Avenue, Lake Charles, LA 70615.

Ms. Kleckley’s family expresses heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Rosewood Nursing Home and Harbor Hospice for their excellence in care and compassion.
