Karen Sue Rogers Messenger

Karen Sue Rogers Messenger, 66, of Lake Charles passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in her residence.

Mrs. Messenger was born on May 25, 1955, in Lake Charles where she was a lifelong resident and a graduate of LaGrange High School.  She furthered her education at McNeese State University in accounting.  Mrs. Messenger worked for many years at the McNeese Book Store.  She was of the Catholic faith.

She was well known at the local bingo hall where she enjoyed playing bingo daily and she also liked going to the casinos.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter in law, Jason and Mercedes Messenger; grandson, James Grafton; her mother, Ola Rogers; and her sisters, Linda, Laura, and Barbara.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Wayne Messenger; her father, JB Rogers; and a brother, Johnny Rogers.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
