Katherine "Kitty" Clement

Katherine “Kitty” Clement, 93, of LeBleu Settlement, LA, died at 1:45 PM on Wednesday, November 3, 2020 in a Baton Rouge care facility.

Mrs. Clement was born March 12, 1927 in Lake Charles, LA.  She lived for a number of years in Ohio, but most of her life in Lake Charles.  She worked as a CNA and later as a Diabetic Dietician at various nursing homes throughout the years, including Oak Park Nursing Home and Moss Bluff Manor.  She loved spending her weekends on her houseboat on the river.  She also enjoyed spending time outside, hunting, working in the garden, and raising her chickens.  Mrs. Kitty also enjoyed cooking, canning figs, crocheting, and fishing.  She will always be remembered as an independent woman.

Mrs. Clement is survived by her son, George Reed; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Joseph Clement; her parents, Henry Dronette & Evelina Dronette; children, Larry Reed, Jimmy Reed, Judy Reed, Johnny Reed, Joey Reed, and Dennis Reed; two brothers; and two sisters.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 9, 2020 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Moss Bluff.  Father Tony Fontenot will officiate.  Burial will follow in Ritchie Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home in Moss Bluff on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM.  Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:30 AM until the start of the service.
