Katherine Oleta Dubrock

Mrs. Katherine Oleta DuBrock, 88, of Lake Charles passed away at 1:30 AM, Monday, June 29, 2015 in a local care facility. She was born in Winnsboro, LA, raised in Rayville, LA, and a lifetime resident of Lake Charles. Her greatest joy was spending time with all the family together and the special times with the grandchildren. She loved to cook and work in the flower beds each spring. Mrs. DuBrock was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Charles. Survivors include her three children, Jacquin D. Spell and husband Richard, Patsy DuBrock, and Michael A. DuBrock and fiancé Raquel Landry; four grandchildren, Kelly Spell, Jessica Doucet, Paige McGee, and Jared Doucet and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years Allen V. DuBrock; four siblings, Lila Price, Faye Roberts, Alvin Nelson, and Ray Nelson. Her funeral will be at 3:00 PM, Thursday, July 2, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Rob Walls will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday and from 10:00 AM until time of service, Thursday, in the funeral home. The family would like to send a Special Thanks to the Personnel of Hearts of Hospice and Rosewood Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Louisiana Baptist Children's Home.
