Kathleen E. Lovmo

Kathleen E. Lovmo, age 71, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010, at a local hospital.

Born August 30, 1939, in Wisconsin, she lived in Minnesota and Guam, before moving to Lake Charles eight years ago. Most of her life, she served beside her husband as a pastor's wife. She went on to be a teacher and nursery Granny at Harvest Christian Academy, Guam. A member of Faith Bible Church of Lake Charles, LA, she enjoyed painting, reading, and her grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert Lovmo, her siblings, Donald Emery, John Emery, Russell Emery, Imogene Elms, and Geri Rice, and her parents, David and Ina Emery.

Survivors include her daughter, Julia Stewart and husband, Jason of Lake Charles; her three sons, Russell Lovmo and wife, Uli of Germany, Raymond Lovmo and wife, Betty Ann of Guam, and Kevin Lovmo and wife, Jennifer of Lake Charles; her brother, Harold Emery and wife, Lucille of Owatonna, MN; her sister, Lois Foster and husband R.C. of Lexington, KY; her grandchildren, Kevin and Karina Lovmo, Robert, Emily, and Shannon Lovmo, Valerie, Vanessa, Veronica, and Vance Stewart, and Baylee, Gage, Chloe, Tucker, Ty, and Ryder Lovmo.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2010, at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Dr. Bart Leger will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning on Sunday, November 21, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. and again on Monday, November 22, from 8 a.m. until time of services. Following her services, Ms. Lovmo will be buried at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR, with her late husband.
