Kathryn Gaynelle Coffey

Kathryn Gaynelle Coffey, 77, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 in a local healthcare facility.

Mrs. Coffey was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She was a graduate of Lake Charles High School. She enjoyed flower gardening, shopping and loved taking exceptional care of her "babies", her dogs. She was a member of the Lake Charles Little Theatre, Our Lady Queen of Heaven and Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.

Mrs. Coffey will be most remembered for her smile, her sense of humor and her joyful spirit.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Blair Duhon and husband Richard of Holmwood; one step-daughter, Rose Marie Coffey of North Whales, PA; one son-in-law, Michael Bonner; five grandchildren, Jason Brassieur and wife Amanda, Justin Brassieur, Jordan Duhon, Nickie Duhon and Beau Duhon, all of Lake Charles and two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Samantha Brassieur.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence B. Coffey; mother, Myrtis Crosley; son, Christopher Blake Chauffe; daughter, Ashley Bonner and grandson, Michael Gabriel Chauffe.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, July 02, 2012 in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Monsignor Vincent Sedita will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
