Kathryn "Kim" Laughlin

Kathryn “Kim” Laughlin, 63, of Lake Charles, LA passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 in a local hospital.

Kim was born on October 28, 1956 in Lake Charles, LA. She was the former owner of Kim’s Kajun Kitchen. She enjoyed bingo, marbles, dancing, cooking and church.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her mother, Diane Thibodeaux, her daughter, Jessica Belle Nunez (Jared); stepsons, Wallace Laughlin (Sarah), Kendall Laughlin (Gaylyne), and Chad Laughlin (Deanna); her brother, Jerry Don Romero; her sisters Lahoma Miller, and Kitty Landry (Darrell); companion, Walter Johnson; her two best friends, Pattie Bordelon, and Selina Jones; her bonus daughter, Charity Edwards; and her special granddaughter, Ashley Duhe; seventeen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Laughlin; her father, Jerry Romero; and her grandparents, Ed and Isabelle Queenan.

Her funeral service will be at 12:00 PM Friday, May 22, 2020 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Nathan Nazworth will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
