Kathryn Tenney Devall

Kathryn Kathy Tenney Devall, 57, of Hackberry, Louisiana, passed away on November 28, 2012 with her family by her side.


She was born on November 9, 1955 to Helen and Kenneth Clyde Tenney. She was a graduate of Sulphur High School, and studied accounting at McNeese State University. Her interests included family, painting, quilting, sewing, gardening, and travel. She was a Certified Decorative Artist with the National Society of Decorative Painters, member of Southeast Texas / Southwest Louisiana Chapter of the Painted Daisies, member of the Contraband Heirloom Stitcher's Guild, local co-founder for Threads of Love by Katie II, Trustee of St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Hackberry, Louisiana, and painted on Monday nights for thirty years with a valued group of friends.


Kathy is survived by her mother; her husband, Joseph Devall, Sr.; her brothers, John and Michael Tenney; her children, Joseph, Jr. and his wife, Eileen, Kenny and his wife, Monica, and Matthew and his wife Katharine; and her cherished grandchildren, Hailey, Aidan, Lucas, Kathryn, Nicholas, Joseph III, and Matthew, Jr.


Her funeral service will be at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hackberry on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Father Rommel Tolentino will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM and continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
