Kaye Alford Desormeaux, 63, of Hackberry, LA died Saturday, February 20, 2016 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Desormeaux was born in West Monroe, LA, raised in North Louisiana and has lived most of her life in Hackberry. She was a graduate of Westlake High School and attended McNeese State University. She enjoyed photography and videoing, her family was her favorite subject. She was also a gifted writer of poetry, having written a published book “Whispers from Heaven”. She has written poems for grieving parents for countless years and was a member of “My Mom is a Survivor” and “My Dad is a Survivor”. Mrs. Desormeauxs greatest love was her family. She devoted her life and her love to her husband, children and especially her grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church Hackberry.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of thirty-three years, Brian P. Desormeaux of Hackberry; three children, Rickey Wolfe and wife Karalee of Lake Charles, Christi LaBove and husband Travis and Jared Desormeaux and wife Jessica, of Hackberry; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne Alford of Sulphur and Michael Alford and Tim Alford, of Hackberry; one sister, Teri Guidry of Lafayette and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nicki Pearce; parents, Clarence and Willie Mae Talbot and one sister, Linda Dalgleish.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at First Baptist Church Hackberry under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Monte Rowse and Reverend Jack Tillery will officiate. Interment will follow in New Hackberry Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday will be from 3:00PM until 9:00 PM at the church and will continue Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
