Kaylee Helen Ann Richard (or if you had asked her, Kaylee Ann Richard) is now dancing in her eternal home as of July 9, 2020, at the precious age of 21. She made her grand entrance on Earth December 22, 1998, and grew up as a proud little Southern Belle in Sulphur, Louisiana, always surrounded by loving family and friends.
Left to cherish her beautiful memory are her daughter, Landri Kate Richard, her parents, Tim and Tracy Richard, and siblings: Aaron, Kristen, Tanny, and Isabella Richard, all of SWLA. She is also survived by her grandparents, Ed and Judy Ball of Sulphur, and Roxie Guillory of Lake Charles, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Kaylee had an enormous heart, and constantly found ways to always show love, and love so fiercely anyone she deemed as part of her world. She sincerely wished the best for every soul she encountered, so much so, that you could feel it when in her presence; once you entered her life, you were no longer a stranger. With her big ole baby blue eyes and showstopping smile, Kaylee caught the attention of everyone she met, and left many a lasting impression, especially since she always spoke her mind, most of the time without filter, but with good intention. She was a ginormous advocate for adoption and adored caring for babies and children so very much. You would catch her giggling, dancing, and grooving nearly any moment of the day or night and hear her sing, if you were lucky. She was happiest when with her babygirl, Landri and making her laugh. Being somewhere on the water and with family is when she was most cheerful and carefree. Her inspiration and zest for life stemmed from her love of Jesus and Dolly Parton. This being said, the girl was definitely into her fashion, shopping and makeup, but didn’t mind puttin on her boots and getting in the mud when it fancied her either. Kaylee was a little girl at 5’1” and proud of it, managing to pack in a HUGE personality with even bigger dreams and will never be forgotten.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, July 13, 2020 at St. Theresa in Carlyss. Her interment will immediately follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Sulphur under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Her visitation and celebration of life will be held Monday morning beginning at 10:00 AM, with a Cursillo rosary at 10:30 AM and ending visitation at 2 PM.
Kaylee's family would like to extend their most genuine gratitude to everyone who has contributed in any way since her passing. They also request that all photos of Kaylee be sent to amberdball@gmail.com to add to a memory book for Landri as well as your favorite memories and stories of her.
