Keith James Verret

Keith James Verret, 56, of Lake Charles, passed away Wednesday, April 06, 2016 in the comfort of his home.

Mr. Verret was born in Lafayette and has lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He was a graduate of Lake Charles High School where he was a member of the Competition Swim Team. He worked his younger years as an Electrician and Plumber for the City of Lake Charles. He was a member of Local# 106. Mr. Verret was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved flower gardening, particularly garden shows and Orchids. His greatest times were spent with his grandchildren. He was a faithful Christian and member of St. Henry Catholic Church.

He leaves to honor his memory, one son, Derek Verret; one daughter, Amanda Jergan and husband Matt ; one brother, Donald Anthony Verret and wife Donna and one sister, Kathy Johnson and husband Mike, all of Lake Charles; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, Donald Rodney Verret and Betty Concienne Verret.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 09, 2016 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Saturday will be from 9:00AM until the time of service in the funeral home.

Pallbearers for his service will be Justin Verret, Chris Johnson, Patrick Johnson, Caldon Olmsted and Chace Olmsted.
