Keith Paul Martin

Keith Paul Martin 45 of Iowa, LA, passed away on August 19, 2022, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones.  Keith was born April 19, 1977 in Lake Charles, LA.  

He worked in Information Management for Christus Health for 6 years and enjoyed every minute of it. He never met a stranger.  He loved to make other people laugh and have a good time.  He loved the outdoors especially fishing on the Calcasieu River with his son Brenden, gardening and being outside.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor and making people laugh.  Keith will be remembered for his love and loyalty to those he cared most about, love for his wife and children.  

Keith is survived by his wife and ride or die Kesha Fontenot Martin; daughters Raelynn Sonnier (Austin) and Marlana Oden; sons Hunter Cormier and Brenden Martin; granddaughters, Avery Oden & soon to be Hadlee Oden.  Mother Joan Doucet, stepfather Delbert Doucet, sisters Kimberly Martin, Katrina Huckeba (Kevin), brothers Kevin Martin (Donna), and Kirk Martin (Margaret), and stepmother Donna Martin.  He also leaves behind his Fontenot Family: Father-in-law Roland Fontenot (Jeanne), brothers-in-law, Kyle Fontenot (Stephanie), Shawn Fontenot, Chad Fontenot and Jackie Points (Angela), sisters-in-law, Dwyla Burdon, Tiffaney Lee (Jeff), Tonya Barry (Thom), Cindy Parm, Gina Clanton (Tyson) and numerous uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews he loved and adored on both sides of the families.  

He was preceded in death by his father Darril Martin, Uncle Joey Martin, Uncle Barry Martin, Uncle Johnny Martin, Maternal Grandmother Elma Rider, Paternal Grandmother Beatrice Benoit and brother-in-law Dana Burdon.

The family would also like to acknowledge his Christus family and our U.S. Fence & Gate family for all their love and support during this journey.

Family to welcome friends on Saturday, September 10, 2022 in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home beginning at 9am. A Celebration of his Life will begin at 11am.
