Kenneth C. Poppy Dunn

Kenneth C. Poppy Dunn, 74, of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 in a local hospital.

Mr. Dunn was born and raised in Griggs, OK and has lived the past twenty years in Lake Charles. He served in the United States Air Force. He worked over twenty years as Aircraft Mechanic for Boeing, formerly Northrup Grumman, having retired as Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor. Mr. Dunn was a lifetime member of the Elk's Club. He enjoyed playing bingo and singing Karaoke. He had a servant's heart, was kind, loving and always did for others. Mr. Dunn will be most remembered for his smile. He was a small, little man, but a strong Christian man.

He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife, Rev. Susan Booth; one step-daughter, Delicia Mouton of Lake Charles; two step-sons-in-law, Mike Mouton and Richard Connor; six, step-grandchildren, Makenah and Gage Mouton and Austin, Amberly, Alijah and Ayden Connor, all of Lake Charles; two brothers, Kaye Dunn and wife Mary and Emmit Dunn and wife Pauline; two sisters, Bernita Dove and husband Don and Betty Clausen and husband Charles, all of CO and dear friends Darrell and Leslie Materne and Jim and Helen Stoddard, all of Lake Charles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Jewel Dunn and two brothers, Keith and Kendall Dunn.

Memorial services will be at 5:00 Friday, January 18, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Chris Fuselier will officiate. Gathering of friends Friday will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
