Kenneth Wayne Fontenot, 71, passed away on October 13, 2024 in Shreveport, LA. He was born on September 20, 1953 in Kinder, LA to Lee Roy Fontenot and Bernadine Cormier Fontenot.

Kenny was a carpenter by trade, a loving father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a Christian man who was always the first to help friends, neighbors and even strangers. Most of all, he cherished his time spent with family and friends at Toledo Bend Lake.

Those left to cherish his memory are, his wife, Tammy Lynn Brown; his sons, Jeremy Wayne Fontenot, and David Troy Brown, Jr.; his grandchildren, Kylinne Fontenot, Kaleigh Armstrong; and his grand son-in-law, Ozzy Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service honoring Kenneth’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2024 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Pastor Dave Lang will officiate. Visitation will follow the service until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday morning at 10:00 AM, and continue until leaving in procession to Black Bayou Cemetery at 11:00 AM for burial under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
