Kenneth James Villejoin, 59, of Lake Charles died at 12:10 PM on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in a local hospital.
Mr. Villejoin was born on July 12, 1951 in Crowley, LA and lived in Lake Charles for the past 35 years. He was a graduate of Crowley High School and the Louisiana Vocational Technical School in Crowley. Mr. Villejoin worked at Citgo for 20 years as an electrical inspector and a supervisor. Following his career with Citgo he worked for several other electrical companies including EIU Inc., allowing him to travel the country.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was also a dedicated father involved with his children's lives. He enjoyed coaching their sports teams, helping with band, and volunteering for fundraisers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Joanne Conner Villejoin of Lake Charles; one daughter, Brooke and husband Stephen LeJeune, III of Beaumont, TX; one son, Jarod Christopher Villejoin of Lake Charles; his father, Dewitt Joseph Villejoin of Crowley; one brother, Farrel Villejoin and wife Jan of Crowley; and two grandchildren, Chance Logan and Hope Debra LeJeune of Beaumont, TX.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Villejoin.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 10, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chris Fuselier will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 AM until time of services in the funeral home.
