Kenneth "Kenny" Goodman

Kenneth "Kenny" Goodman was one of seven children born to Marvin Leon and Ollie Mae Goodman. He was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on Oct 3, 1955.

He was a lifelong resident of Southwest Louisiana and graduated from Barbe High School.

He enjoyed the simple things in life; time with his family, getting his family and friends together over his exceptional BBQ. He was a man of many trades, was knowledgeable in welding along with small engine repair, and was employed with Otis Engineering, Cudd Pressure Control, and Turner Industries over the years. In his downtime he always enjoyed cruising the roads to enjoy the scenery of the countryside, wetting a hook at his various fishing holes or Hodges Gardens, and hunting.

He was welcomed into Heaven on Monday, November 1, 2021, by his parents, Marvin and Ollie Goodman and a brother, Eddie Goodman.

Those left to cherish his memory; his wife of forty-two years, Melinda Gail Goodman; his sons, Justin Ray and Jeremy Wayne Goodman; a grandson, Peyton; his siblings, Kathleen (Mike) Miller, James (Barbara) Goodman, Susie (Dale) Higginbotham, Theresa (Gary) Prejean, Bonnie (Kevin) Menard.

The family will welcome friends on Monday, November 8, 2021, at University Baptist Church beginning at 10:30 until time of service. A funeral led by Pastor John Hoffpauir will begin at 2pm with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
