Kenneth Lejeune

Kenneth Ray LeJeune, 87, of Lake Charles passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, in the comfort of his home.

Kenneth was the oldest child of Rufus and Marie LeJeune. He was born on May 12, 1934, in Iota, Louisiana and was a graduate of Iota High School. He spent his high school years playing sports and participating in FFA; receiving countless awards and achievements. He served in the Louisiana National Guard. Kenneth attended USL to advance in his trade. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors gardening or woodworking. Kenneth traveled and enjoyed his retirement years with his wife, Peggy LeJeune, by his side. He also adored and admired all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Peggy LeJeune; one daughter, Kristi Remy; one son, Brandon LeJeune and his wife Tracey LeJeune; son-in-law, Mark Bowles; two sisters, Janet Reed and her husband Norman, Janice Reed and her husband Lowell; seven grandchildren, Ryan Bowles, Conner Bowles, Linsey Vincent, Cole Remy, Allie LeJeune, Ty LeJeune, and Colby LeJeune; five great grandchildren, Remy Vincent, Ramsey Vincent, Lucy Vincent, Cooper LeJeune, Amelia Remy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Marie LeBrun LeJeune; daughter, Melanie Bowles; son-in-law, Wayne Remy; sister, Jenny LeJeune.

His funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.  The Rev. Dr. Mitzi George will officiate.  A private burial will be at a later time at Prien Memorial Park.  Friends and family will gather at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
