Kenneth Murray Bordelon, 83, of Moss Bluff passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 in a local healthcare facility.
Mr. Bordelon was born on December 5, 1939 in Bordelonville, LA to Murray Bordelon and Helen Hohensee Bordelon McGee. He enlisted in the United States Army right out of high school, completed basic training and served five years with the National Guard. Mr. Bordelon lived most of his life in Sulphur. He worked many years as a carpenter for the Carpenter’s Local Union #953 of which he was a substantial part of refinery construction in the Lake area. During his younger years, he loved fishing and shrimping with his sons, gardening, nurturing his orange trees and traveling. Mr. Bordelon was of Catholic Faith and a longtime member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
He leaves to honor his memory, his wife of fifty-eight years, Irma Molina Bordelon of Moss Bluff, LA; two sons, Mark Dwayne Bordelon and wife Marion of Moss Bluff and Darren Murray Bordelon and wife Kelley of Deer Park, TX and four grandchildren, Patrick and Austin Bordelon of Moss Bluff and Regan and Rachel Bordelon of Deer Park, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Carl Bordelon.
Memorial services will be at 4:00 PM Sunday, September 17, 2023 in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Visitation Sunday will be from 2:00 PM until the time of service in the funeral home.
