Kenneth Poole, Jr.

Kenneth Poole, Jr. “Shakie”, 51, passed away on September 5, 2019 at his residence.

He was born to Patsy and Kenneth Poole, Sr. in Sulphur, LA on October 31, 1967.

He will be remembered as a man who loved to have a good time and was a natural born entertainer. He played in several Cajun bands including with August Broussard and Cajun Friends. He volunteered for many worthy causes in the community. He was an Alabama fan and loved to say, “roll tide!”

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 24 years, Tracey Poole; son, Zachary Taye Poole; Mom, Patsy Leger Poole; aunts, Peggy Abshire and Jerry Trahan; uncle, E.J. Leger; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Poole, Sr.; and sister, Tessa Poole.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. A gathering of friends and family to celebrate Shakie’s life will be held at a later date.
