Kenneth Wayne Bourgeois

Kenneth Wayne Bourgeois, 54, of Dequincy died on Monday, June 17, 2013 unexpectedly in Dequincy.

Kenneth was a native of Lacassine, was born on March 4, 1959, and lived in Dequincy for the past 25 years. He was head rig operator for over 20 years for Temple Inland in Dequincy.

He enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest and cherished the time he spent with family and friends. He was good with his hands, always finding something to tinker with. Kenneth liked spending time riding motorcycles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 30 years, Valerie Bourgeois of Dequincy; three siblings, John Bourgeois of New Mexico, Connie Shuff and husband Harley of Lake Charles, and Ronald Bourgeois and wife Claudia of Lacassine; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maggie Hebert and John Carroll Bourgeois; and a sister, Donna O'Brien.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Per his wishes, Kenneth was cremated.
