Kenneth Wayne Hunter, 60, of Lake Charles, died peacefully on Sunday October 15, 2017 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.
Ken was born in Houston, Texas and was raised and educated in Lake Charles. He moved to Alabama and worked as owner and operator of Kenneth Hunter Trucking as an over the road truck driver for his entire life. He had an outstanding safety record, having driven seven million miles accident free, two million with Werner Enterprises. He also participated in the National Truck-driving Championship.
Ken is survived by his children, Krystal Michelle Domingue and husband Tanzy, Lake Charles; Kenneth Wayne Hunter, Jr. and wife Kayla, Alabama and Kelsey Rakes and husband Brad, Alabama; seven grandchildren; his mother, Juanita Graham Manuel; brother Charles Lynn Hunter, Sr., Lake Charles; and sister, Sandra Martin and husband Mike, Lake Charles.
As to Ken’s wishes, his remains were cremated under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Private family services will be at a later date.
