Kenneth Wayne Stineff, 65, of Ragley died at 2:25 PM on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in a Dequincy hospital.
Mr. Stineff was born on October 13, 1945 in Lake Charles and was raised there until moving to Ragley 40 years ago. He was a 1964 graduate of Marion High School. He then served our country in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Naples, Italy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Stineff began his 34 year career with Olin and Lyondell Chemical Plant retiring as warehouse clerk. In his most recent years, he volunteered his time as a fireman at Gordon Volunteer Fire department for the past 10 years.
He was a member of Squyres United Methodist Church in Ragley, LA.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda Pierce Stineff of Ragley; three children, Jesse Wayne Stineff of Ragley, Heather Stineff Baggett and Wayne of Ragley, And Denise Kerry and husband Steve of Baker, LA; seven grandchildren, Cody, Kelly, and Kortney Stineff, Kaitlyn and Kaleb Baggett, and Amanda and Zachary Kerry;
two great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Weighand of Longville and Earline Trim of Lake Charles: sister-in-law, Peggy Stineff of Longville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Earl Stineff and a Brother, Donald Stineff.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Squyres United Methodist Church in Ragley. The Reverend Juan Huertas will Officiate. Burial will be in Risinger Memorial Cemetery in Ragley under the direction Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Thursday at the church from 3:00 PM until 9:00 P.M. and will continue at 8:00 A.M. on Friday.
