Kenny Peter Carlson, 46, of Sulphur, passed away October 4, 2011 in his residence. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 4-9p.m. at Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Kenny was born in Heidelberg and was a longtime resident of Sulphur. After graduation he served his country in the U. S. Army from 1984 until 1992. In Desert Storm, he was awarded the Purple Heart. After the military he came to Sulphur and worked in construction for Brock Industries at Citgo. Kenny is survived by his wife, Gayle Carlson of Sulphur, father, Larry Carlson of Carlyss, brother, Dr. Robert Carlson and wife, Victoria Van of Baton Rouge, sister, Debra Ann Mahanes and husband, Scott of Beaver Dam, VA, three, nieces and nephews, Vivanne Carlson of Baton Rouge, Anthony Mahanes and Annalise Mahanes both of Beaver Dam, VA, and extended family here and abroad. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ursula Carlson and step-mother, Anna Belle Carlson, his grandmothers, Olive Carlson and Annaliese Rihm and grandfathers, Leonard Carlson and Heinrick Rihm.
