Kerry Wayne Jones

Kerry Wayne Jones, 55, of Big Lake died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in his residence.

Mr. Jones was a native of Lake Charles and lived most of his life in the Lake Charles area. He attended LaGrange High School and was a graduate of A.M. Barbe High School. He began working as a truck driver at the age of nineteen, having worked thirty-five years as a Cross Country Truck Driver for many companies. He was currently employed by Crete Trucking. Mr. Jones had a lifelong love of trucks, motorcycles and boats. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be most remembered for his willingness to help others and as an animal lover.

He leaves to honor his memory, Mildred A. Jones of Lake Charles, Sandra J. Noser and husband Peter of Houston, TX, Wanda J. Grafton and husband Kenneth of Sulphur, Deborah Grafton, Becky Julian of Big Lake, Greg Lessigne of Jennings, Justin Lessigne of Westlake, Gretchen Kingham of Austin, TX, Hannah May of Lake Charles, Crystal Collins of Sulphur, Crystar Collins-Molitor, Jimmy Simmons, Gabe, Court and Jude Lessigne and Aiden Wells.

He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Jefferson Jones.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 20, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Keith Clayton will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery. Visitation Saturday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
