Kevin Christopher Lau

Kevin Christopher Lau, 44, of Lake Charles, LA passed away October 11, 2015, at his residence in Lake Charles, LA. Kevin was born on August 7, 1971, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was known as a very social person and enjoyed passing his time with family and friends. He loved fishing and had a passion for music, which he expressed through playing guitar, drums, bass and being part of Faith Bible Church's Praise and Worship Team. He enjoyed working as a skilled combo welder for the petrochemical construction industry. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Venus Lau, of Lake Charles, LA; three children, Keynan Lau, Kristan Lau, and Kwyntan Lau, all of Lake Charles, LA; mother, Marilyn Akau, and father, Herman Lau, both of Makaha, Hawaii; three siblings, Jory Lau, Ambros Williams, and Chelsea Lau of Makaha, Hawaii. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Daven Lau and Matthew Lau. Kevin's funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 10:00 AM and will be at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA. Reverend Bart Leger will officiate. Visitation will begin on Friday at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. It will resume on Saturday morning at 8:00 AM until the time of service. Cremation will follow services.
