Kim Stewart Goos, 70, passed away on November 2, 2023, in a local hospital. He was born on February 11, 1953, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Walter S. and Delta Broussard Goos.
Kim was always a prankster, and Dana and Brady were his prey. Starting with scaring and pranking his siblings and manipulating the incident to cause Brady and Dana to blame each other when Kim was the instigator.
He excelled at drawing from an early age. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved his Triumph Motorcycle. Kim went to LSU for Architectural Design and graduated in 1976. His pastime was chess and watching football. He was a huge LSU fan. Kim was and always has been a proud LSU Alumni. He also had many cherished high school friends who would keep in touch with him.
Kim was considered to be a conscientious worker with a strong attention to detail and working well with others. He was privileged to work with many architects from around the country. Kim was published in Architectural Record in 1990 for the design of the Chicago Airport. In addition, he also designed the airport in Orlando, Florida. He was a top user of the AutoCad program.
Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Dana Fleming (Daryl) and Brady Goos (Pam), both of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter S. and Delta Broussard Goos.
Kim’s funeral will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Msgr. Jace Eskind will preside. Burial will follow in Goos Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM and will continue until the start of the service at 1:00 PM.
