Kimberly Chiasson Landreneau

December 16, 1966 — September 5, 2012

Kimberly Chiasson Landreneau, 45, of Lake Charles passed away Wednesday, September 05, 2012 in her home.


Mrs. Landreneau lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was a graduate of A.M. Barbe High School and McNeese State University. Having attained a degree in Education, she was a teacher primarily in Shreveport and at St. John, Fondel and Dolby Elementary Schools. During her younger years she enjoyed bowling and working at Petro Bowl, where she met her husband of twenty-five years. She also enjoyed Bingo, Pokeno, the Casino and cheering on LSU. Her quiet time was often spent reading.


Mrs. Landreneau was devoted to her family, as her passion was her children, nieces and nephews. She had a caring heart for everyone and will be most remembered for her guidance and her gift of inspirational writing to her family and friends in need. She will be most remembered for her smile.


She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Scott David Landreneau; son, Ryan Scott and wife Caiti and daughter, Brooke Nicole Landreneau, all of Lake Charles; one sister, Leah Chiasson Owen and husband Christopher of Westlake; one niece, Lauren LeBlanc; three nephews, Blake LeBlanc, Caden Owen and Chase Owen; father and mother-in-law, James and Patricia Landreneau of Lake Charles; sister-in-law, Rachelle Lomonaco and husband Dino of Lake Charles; brother-in-law, Steve Landreneau and wife Susan of Longville; nieces and nephews, Mandie Oates, Kayla Verret and husband Clint, Brittany Leger and husband Troy, Michael Landreneau and Alison Clanton and husband Ryan and numerous friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Barty and Carole Castleberry Chiasson and grandparents, Horace and Ruby Chiasson and Samuel Duke and Marie Castleberry.


Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 08, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Kent Shepherd will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Friday will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
