Kimbo Fontenot

Kimberly Edward “Kimbo” Fontenot, 66, passed away on September 27, 2022 in a local hospital.

Mr. Fontenot was born on August 22, 1956 to Allen and Margaret Fontenot. A Lake Charles native with strong Catholic roots and a graduate of Barbe High School. Throughout his career he has worked as a Ranch Hand and White Tail Deer Guide around Del Rio, TX.  A member of Local 106, he primarily worked as a Supervisor in the Petrochemical Industry. His hobbies included shooting guns, deer and duck hunting, fishing with his loved ones, and telling memorable stories around the campfire. He enjoyed building and repairing bikes for the children in the neighborhood as well as for his grandbabies. Like any grandfather, he was known for giving his grand boys knives and trinkets to bring home. Mr. Fontenot was an honorable man who loved his sweetheart Audrey, her children and grandbabies who brought much joy and love to his life.

He leaves to honor his memory, spouse, Audrey Ann of Lake Charles; brother, Allen Dale (Deanna) Fontenot of Dequincy; niece, Megan Craft; nephew, Brett Allen Fontenot; stepchildren, Michelle Richard, Andrew “Coy” Waggoner, Aaron Nash and Missy Carter; numerous grandchildren and friends; best friends, Huey Nelson and Ricky Robertson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2022 in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. The Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot will officiate. Visitation Friday will be from 10:00 am until the time of service with with a rosary beginning at 11:30 AM in the funeral home.
