Laniel Joseph Duke Dupuy

November 15, 1928 — October 24, 2011

"Duke", 82, went to be with Jesus on Monday October 24, 2011 following a courageous battle with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.

He was born to Clinton and Adella Lachney Dupuy near Marksville, LA. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, helping rebuild Germany immediately following World War II. He leaves to honor and cherish his memory his dear sister and brother-in-law, Ethel Lee and Harold McGlothlin, Alexandria, LA; his loving wife of 24 years, Aline Hughes Dupuy, Lake Charles; son James Dupuy and wife Eva of Gillis; daughters, Lanelle Marie Dupuy, Lake Charles, and Norma Honorable and husband De Royal, Conway, Arkansas; two step-daughters, Rebecca Hughes and companion Alan Dewey and Belinda Hughes; six grandchildren, Jon Scot, Rebecca, Rocky Jr., Lisa, Aaron and Shawna; two great-grandchildren; half brother, Virgil Wayne McCain and wife Virginia of Pineville, LA; and many nieces and nephews.
