Laramie Peshoff Midgett, 83, passed away, Sunday, December 26, 2010 in a Welsh care facility.
She was born in Evangeline Parish and grew up in Cameron, LA where she graduated as Salutatorian in 1944 at Creole High School. Mrs. Midgett lived in Morgan City and Houma before settling in Lake Charles since 1991. She was a member of The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Williams and husband Gary of Iowa and Angela Berard and husband Louis of Houma; six grandchildren, Gary Williams, Jr. and wife Darlene, Anjanette Bellard and husband Brandon, Robert Midgett and wife Dorothy, Glen Robison, Jr. and wife Lorie, Gerald Robison and wife Jessica, and David Dogan, Jr. and wife Cindy, and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Midgett; daughter, Connie Hacker; sister, Vernice Patton, and her parents, Paul and Martha (Fontenot) Peshoff.
Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Burial will be in Highland memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, and continue from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, Thursday, in the funeral home.
The family would thank the Golden Age Nursing Center of Welsh and Christus Hospice for the care shown to Mrs. Midgett.
