Larry C. Perron Jr.

Larry C. Perron, Jr., 74, of Westlake passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 in the comfort of his home.

Mr. Perron was a native of Lake Charles. He was a graduate of Redwood High School in Redwood, CA.  Following graduation, he served in the United States Air Force.  A graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College, he opened his practice in Missouri.  Mr. Perron returned home to Louisiana, worked his younger years at Haliburton and later began his career as a well-known and respected insurance agent of over thirty years.  During his later years, he also enjoyed working in real estate property management.  He was a man of Faith and Prayer, a devoted member of Victory Baptist Church, Silver Saints, was head usher and elder and for twenty years has found great honor in introducing and preaching the Word of the Lord at the Calcasieu Parish Detention Center.  His down time was often spent fishing or playing pool.  Mr. Perron will be most remembered for his love and devotion to his wife and family and his witty personality that was almost always a great source of laughter.

He leaves to honor his memory, his wife of fifty-three years, Joyce Rathjen Perron of Westlake; one daughter, Cynthia Lynn Allman and husband Timothy of Mesquite, TX; grandchildren, Tyler, Kevin, Austin, Lakeyn, David, Nathan and Lauren; two great grandchildren, Sawyer and Everleigh Clair and one brother, Robert Walter Perron.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Michael Perron and Kevin Perron; parents, Larry C. Perron, Sr. and Walterine Cecile Chatagnier Perron and brother, Byron Keith Perron.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 21, 2021 in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Reverend Wayne Dartez will officiate.  Interment will follow in Lacassine Cemetery.  Visitation Saturday will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM in Moss Bluff.  Visitation Sunday will be from 12:30 PM until the time of service in the funeral home.
