Larry Eugene Blalock

Larry Eugene Blalock, 59, of Sulphur, LA died Sunday, March 13, 2011 in the comfort of his home.

Mr. Blalock was born in Eunice, LA, was raised and educated in Georgia and was a graduate of Cherokee High School and Delta Technical College. He worked most of his life as a Commercial Truck Driver. He was an avid sports fan, loyal to LSU Tigers and the GA Bulldogs. He also enjoyed bowling, collecting movies, knives and guns.

Mr. Blalock will be most remembered as a kind, loving, good man who found goodness in everyone.

He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of thirty years, Teresa Faver Blalock of Sulphur; three sons, Terry Blalock of Sulphur, Tommy Munson and wife Tammela of Temple, TX and Larry Chesson of Sulphur; one daughter, Kimberly Covington and husband Josh of Burkley Springs, WV; ten grandchildren, Austin, Andrew, Keekee, Mikayla, Markus, Katelynn, Emily, Hunter, Logan and Peyton; dear friends, Lisa Williams and Anthony O'Quain, both of GA and Jerrie Vincent of Carlyss and childhood friends, the Keithberg Boys of Canton, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Verlin and Adeline Fontenot Blalock and one daughter, Sharon Blalock.

A gathering of friends will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Mr. Blalock's home, 1317 Joseph Street, Sulphur, LA 70663. Arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
