Larry V. Breaux, 80, of Lake Charles, died Monday, November 9, 2015 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born on October 14, 1935 in Lake Charles, LA to Lawrence and Adele Breaux. He graduated from Marion High School and attended Lamar University in Beaumont before serving our country in the United States Army. He owned South City Paint and Supply starting in 1965 where he worked alongside his wife, Emelie until 1997 when he retired. Larry enjoyed helping others, whether it was his family, friends, or customers at the paint store. Larry enjoyed spending time hunting and golfing with his buddies. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Emelie Castille Breaux; children, Larry "Punkin" and wife Rhonda, Lisa Breaux Wilbanks, Gary Breaux, Lori Martzahn and husband Dan, and Angela O'Quain and husband David; brother, John A. Breaux and wife Pat; sister, Cleta Cormier; eight grandchildren, Matthew Breaux, Marissa Wilbanks, Tyler Breaux, Dylan Breaux, Erik Martzahn, Emily Martzahn, Anna O'Quain, and his Angel Andrew O'Quain; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. An added thanks to Southern Home Health, Heart of Hospice, Dr. Craig Broussard, Dr. Arthur Primeaux, and his special nurse David O'Quain. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Johnson Funeral home. A scripture service will be recited at 6:00 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday with Father Derek Covert officiating. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
